Laura Marling, All My Rage
(via beauharnais)
Laura Marling- Ghosts
He walked down a busy street
Staring solely at his feet
Clutching pictures of past lovers at his side
Stood at the table where she sat
And removed his hat
In respect of her presence
Presents her with the pictures and says
These are just ghosts that broke my heart before I met you.
These are just ghosts that broke my heart before I met you
Laura Marling - Goodbye England (Covered In Snow) live
Beautiful song.
I went to Melbourne to catch up with some friends I had travelled with the year before. I was there towards the end of January to go shopping and see a Laura Marling gig. On Australia day I went with one of the boys to a country races. I had never been to the races, so didnt really know what to expect. Though, the ‘country’ certainly wasn’t understated.
On the way there, we picked up an old friend of the guy I was travelling with. His name was Pete ( I seem to attract/ be attracted to Peters… but that’s another story). He lived on a large vineyard on his own, on the coast of Victoria, 5 minutes from the beach. He had just finished at Vet school and had delivered a calf a few days before. He has scruffy dark hair, tanned skin, green eyes and a killer smile. I was smitten. On the way to the races we discussed Marly and Me, and he said it was too sad for him to watch the whole thing when he hired the DVD.
The rest of the day the group of us sat around by the race track, playing botchi, drinking cider and listening to Triple J’s Hottest 100. I was smitten.
I’ll come back one day, future husband… where ever you are!
